Community Outreach Meeting For Potranco & Loop 1604 Infrastructure Update

State Representative Rick Galindo invites you to join both him and community leaders to obtain updates concerning highway and road construction in the Northwest of District 117. TXDOT and Bexar County Officials will be presenting on current and future plans.

I was unable to attend the Community Outreach Meeting on 7 May 2015. I would appreciate any attendee briefly summarizing on this website the tone of the meeting regarding the Potranco Rd widening project.

The Potranco Road-SH 211 Project was developed to reduce congestion, enhance safety, expand economic opportunity, improve air quality, and increase the value of transportation assets. Potranco Road is proposed to be reconstructed and widened from two lanes to four lanes with operational improvements to include left and right turn lanes constructed at intersections. Bridges and culverts will also be installed or replaced, where required, at stream crossings. Construction cost is estimated at $37.5M and will stretch apporoximately 4.7 miles from Loop 1604 to Highway 211. The primary goal of the Potranco Road project is to provide a safe and efficient transportation facility capable of better accommodating the current and future traffic needs in the project area. - See more at: voteforchico.com/accom...CIQaA.dpuf
