Someone mentioned at the block party mentioned having a hydrant. I would like to get some info from you on how you made that happen. Thanks Josh

Fire hydrants require a water distribution system, and Rolling Oaks is on private wells. SAWS will not extend such water service into Rolling Oaks because of the low residential density and associated high cost. There are hydrants on Potranco Rd that can provide a nearby source of water for fire trucks, and Bexar County Fire Department is building a new fire station in the 211 Research Park that will reduce response time to Rolling Oaks. We're also working with the fire department to identify residential swimming pools and storage tanks that folks will allow to be used for a fire fighting water supply.
